Author Claire Dunne will present a human spiritual portrait of Jung’s life journey, the struggles he grappled with in himself, and the pioneering consciousness he brought out of it for humanity – the psychological path to the spiritual.
She will point to key shaping episodes for Jung through which we can identify and learn ourselves – formative childhood wounding, contradictory “clash of opposites” personality, burgeoning career and unorthodox family set up, his breakdown and breakthrough period (recorded in the Red Book), the core of his healing self-realization work, his deepening and inspiring near-death experience, controversial ideas on good and evil, his relationship with God, and evolutionary transformative vision for an earth rooted and spiritually centered wholeness in humanity.
Claire will feature symbolic images from her illustrated biography, including Jung’s own paintings from the Red Book. To be followed with an interactive discussion.

Claire Dunne’s acclaimed illustrated biography Carl Jung: Wounded Healer of the Soul was nominated for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the new edition is being translated into a number of languages worldwide. It is her third book. She has lectured widely on Jung throughout the world. Her diverse career in radio, television, and film ranges from documentaries on Sigmund Freud and the history of the harp. Born in Ireland and resident in Sydney for many years, she was awarded an OAM honor by the Australian Government for “her contribution to multiculturalism, Celtic culture and ethnic broadcasting.”
